The startups on exhibit were beGlammed, GoButler, FlyCleaners, Zeel and ZIRX, all riding on the popularity of uber and the way it’s propping up the sharing economy.

beGlammed is an on-demand beauty app that sends industry professional hair stylists and makeup artists directly to clients’ doors which it demonstrated at the bar-restaurant. The concept is simple: From the comfort of homes, offices and hotels, people can just request for hair and makeup services. It is reportedly in cities like Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, Austin, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, Miami, and New York City.

How do they select the stylist? They are hand-selected by the startup’s founder who has over a decade of experience in the beauty industry. Appointments can be easily booked via our app, website, or by calling beGlammed directly.

Also at the event was GoButler, a free, text-based, on-demand virtual personal assistant that uses trained operators, known as “heroes,” to fulfill users’ requests for products and services 24/7. GoButler leverages the best companies and brands, arranging user requests from meal and grocery delivery to travel arrangements, restaurant reservations and everything in between.

FlyCleaner is a door on-demand service your laundry. Your clothes are picked up in, say, 15 to 30 minutes and it’s done overnight. It picks up clothes at 10pm, and is reportedly ready at 7:30am the next morning. What may just make it more appealing is if it delivers on its promise–the same price as your neighborhood laundromat.

Zeel delivers Massage On Demand® – top-quality massages from licensed, vetted massage therapists to homes, hotels, workplaces, and events in as little as an hour, or up to a month in advance.

Founder Nicholas Ober took us for a spin of its app and how easy it is to book a massage anywhere 7 days a week, with start times as early as 8 am and as late as 10:30 pm. Booking, scheduling, and payment are made easy with the Zeel app for iPhone and Android.

Where is it available? Ober said they’re operating in the NYC Tri-State Area, South Florida, the San Francisco Bay Area, Southern California, and Chicago.

For on-demand valet and car services, ZIRX works using its mobile app, consumers can now easily indicate their location and within minutes have a ZIRX Agent arrive and valet park their car in a secure lot. While parked, consumers can easily opt for a gas fill-up, a car wash and more via the ZIRX app. When ready to leave, the car can be delivered to a requested location, at the tap of a button.
